I have used the painters of this company two times for two separate apartments. By their own initiative, they have also done minor repairs of things that needed fixing. She follows up the job step by step and has the job finished as promised, on time, every time. Had a great experience with City Zen. I was looking to have a conference room in my office. I quickly got a quote that was far less than competitors and was able to easily book a time that worked best for me. On the day of the service, the painters were actually EARLY (!!) and super efficient. They were great, worked efficiently and did a wonderful job. The City Zen team just finished a job at my home today. I was in a situation where I hired a contractor to paint my property and they damaged the walls significantly. I called the City Zen team - they were super responsive and Jon came out the next day and gave a quote. We went with a daily rate because the prior painter did so much damage that it was impossible to estimate the scope of the work. The rate was fair and the team completed the job in two weeks (3,00 sq ft apartment). The painters (Devon and Lou) were friendly, efficient, and most importantly, they had an eye for detail. My last contractor would paint over cracks and paint over unsanded patches, so i was refreshing to walking into a room that the City Zen team painted and see the work done to a high standard and not have to find issues with it. Lastly, the owner and Jon (the foreman) checked in with me and cam e by every couple days, which was refreshing. Their communication was better than I could have expected. I am a big fan and will work with them, again.

I found City Zen Painting by looking at the highest ranking painters on Yelp, and they were absolutely as good as I hoped. They painted my one bedroom apartment with primer and two coats in one day, getting into places I didn't think they would be able to. I highly recommend them!

These guys are life savers. The owner helped me put last minute the day after Xmas when everything was closed to restore an expensive table back to perfection after an accidental heat and candle stain. Honest, knowledgeable, and great results.

They did a great job with the wallpapering of my 2 rooms. I actually ran out of wallpaper and easily booked a second session to come back and finish the job. They are a little more expensive but they are worth it for the customer service and communication. Thanks again!

I wanted to renovate my kitchen but due to the price of materials and labor increasing I explored the option of repainting. I contacted more than a dozen contractors(residential and commercial). After reading reviews and looking at the pictures on each of their websites and Yelp pages I contacted City Zen Painting. Jon(the owner) set up a phone consultation with me. During the consultation their process was explained to me, how important multiple coats and airing out the area then applying another coat. Additionally, they cleaned the kitchen cabinets and sanded them by hand prior to painting. Many painters take short cuts and use a thick, cheaper paint to avoid the labor of doing it the right way. It was a two day project, the price was very reasonable and if breathed new life(and saved me thousands on a complete renovation) into my kitchen and turned out lovely!

I attempted to skim coat one of the walls myself to try and have it done by Thanksgiving, but it definitely didn't work out. I was very worried that I wouldn't be able to get someone both fairly priced and available to finish the job by Christmas. Thankfully, City Zen came to the rescue. A number of companies were unavailable, for any immediate jobs, which had me very worried, but Ms. M responded quickly looking for a phone consultation. She wanted to get a better idea, aside from the pics, of what specifically I was looking to have done and to discuss details before giving me a quote. She also sent Devon out to take a look at the job, which I appreciated, so that there were no surprises and changes after a quote was given. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, and reassuring when it came to what would work best for my situation. She was so helpful she made it clear that they could start and finish the job by the very next week. It all came down to the price for me and thankfully she gave a very fair one considering the work it takes to skim coat and sand. Speaking with her as the contact person was fantastic. Devon and another skilled gentleman worked on my walls in the 3 days it took. They were friendly, efficient and very detail oriented. Not rushed at all. I had an all around great experience with City Zen. They were super responsive with a very fast and reasonable quote for a small repair/paint job for some water damage on my ceiling. They were able to send someone out right away to do the work. The painter, John, was careful, friendly and thorough. They did an incredible job painting our three bedroom duplex apartment. We wanted several different colors, in a variety of rooms and not only did they complete the job perfectly in a timely manner but they helped with color selection when I was feeling unsure, helped buy paint samples to test and were overall a pleasure to work with. We needed 14 doors, baseboards, window frames and wall trims painted in our NYC apartment. We have 11 foot ceilings so the task was not easy. City Zen did a perfect job; we were so happy with the results. The rest of our apartment was painted by very expensive contractors and City Zen did a much better job than they did. I would recommend them to anyone. The painters were each extremely polite, clean and courteous. They all wore masks. They are very very responsive to scheduling and even made an exception to come paint on the weekend for us given I am pregnant and working from home. They went above and beyond to make us happy and we were very very pleased with the level of service and the results!

They were able to start the work within few days (we needed it asap) and accommodate our evolving needs as they were painting. Miss M gave us great recommendations regarding style and color choices. We needed to do a quick apartment turnover and found City Zen painting. The business was extremely responsive and communication was excellent. I provided square footage and video and explained I had all the materials but needed an excellent paint job done. Started communication on Saturday, painter showed up on Monday, work started on Tuesday and completed by Wednesday evening. Devon and Ras are wonderful to work with. The paint is white and we had dark wood trim. The painters did a beautiful job with all the crisp edging and detail work. No smears, drips or splatters. Left the unit in pristine condition. We will be using again and in the future. The pricing is reasonable (which is very important). Satisfied customer.

We had overhead lighting installed and were left with crumbly drywall patches and some extra holes that weren't properly filled. City Zen came in and sanded everything down and painted over the area, and you'd never know anything was done. We were so happy with the work done we asked if they could fix a few other areas which they accommodated same day. They were very responsive and helpful in figuring out the work that was needed. Covid protocols were followed without needing to be asked. All around a great experience.

Owner was very responsive by e-mail and text, and worked efficiently and carefully to scope the work and mobilize her crew. Their work was excellent, pricing was good, and it was done on time as promised. It was a tricky job with different rooms/walls requiring different treatments, including matching existing colors, and I had to coordinate it from out-of-town with photos, videos, and descriptions of what needed to be done, and they got every detail right. They also did some light patching and repairs. Very satisfied!

Extremely thorough and helpful. I wanted to re-paint parts my apartment and City Zen was able to accommodate at the last minute and provided basically everything from the paint (showing me different variations prior) to providing a reasonable price. During the entire project, Morgan was very hands on and accessible throughout checking in multiple times to see how everything is going in addition to also following up after everything was done to ensure all is well. One of our employees in our company had used City Zen Painting for her home, she recommended them for us to use for painting our office and I'm so glad we did. We had kind of a tight schedule, we needed painting done in a timely manner as we have just moved to a new space and needed accent walls done across our office. Merih from the beginning was quick with an estimate, easy to talk to and transparent about the process and this is what we liked about going with City Zen Painting. This would be a nice enough to finish our review, however, our experience doesn't end there.
